ELA in Europe

The European Leukodystrophies Association (ELA) was founded in France in 1992 by Guy Alba. From the beginning, ELA collaborated with its counterparts in different countries of Europe and the United States.
In 2000, ELA promotes the creation of new branches in Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain and Italy. The goal is to raise awareness about leukodystrophies and to pool resources in Europe in order to develop research.
